Standing before the locked and
barricaded and guarded
Independence Hall, I
remember that my daughters
are learning about the American
Revolution in social studies
and alternative energy options
(with pros and cons of each)
in science.
Perhaps soon, our current
representatives can work out
a compromise and end this
partial federal government
shutdown
so that closed signs can be
stricken and keys fit into locks
and doors opened and switches
flicked to turn the lights back on
in Independence Hall—
and in national parks
and government offices
across he country.
And perhaps some day,
all these lights will be powered
by a source besides burning
something.

Every night I ask myself, what made my day worthwhile? This note, I suppose will cover me for a week. not to suggest that I’ll shutdown for the next 6 days!
It seems to me that a few people are practicing economic terrorism and doing more harm than Al Qaeda could ever imagine of doing.
Amen brother!
