Window views

September 25, 2013

Experimented with taking photos through windows, since the window adds some characteristics to the shot, of patterns and reflections. In the first two photos below, my daughters and I were at a fast food restaurant and liked the three elements working together in different spaces in one photo: a fly on the glass, reflections of the interior (guy getting a drink, menu lights), and things outside (sky, trees, cars). In the rest of the photos, a screen, crack on the glass, dirt, and diamond pattern add interesting effects.

Taking photos through windows are tricky. Half the time I think it’s hard to catch everything going on in the reflections. But it can make for some interesting shots sometimes!

Always good to experiment…do delve outside the proverbial box.
