Opening

July 31, 2012

We recently went to the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area with the idea of seeing the fields of sunflowers there, as we did last year. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any sunflowers. Maybe we were too late? Maybe they burned up in the heat wave in early July?

We did see some Queen Anne’s lace flowers, and I liked the visuals of the different stages: from clenched to opening up.
