We have signs to label,
posters to proclaim,
stories to fill,
and
newspapers to inform.”

The Quote nodded,
along with the Foreword,
Dialogue, and Action–
and they lined up behind
the Headline.

“But what about me?”
asked the Excerpt.
“What am I to do? Sit here all day?”

“No, no,” replied the Lengthy Reasoning.
“You and I will wait for the Report.
Don’t worry; we’ll do a fine job then.”

With that, the Excerpt and Lengthy Reasoning
sat down for coffee
and had a chat.
