No Chicken Soup Today (poem 31)

August 6, 2010

Said the duck to the cook:
“Your fingers you’d better stop lickin’.
Your soup you’d better not thickin’.
Your cooking makes my tummy sicken.
Your knife makes my legs run quicken.
‘Cause as surely as time is tickin’,
I am not a chicken!”
