Goodbye, Germs (poem 21)

Germ Gang illustrationGoodbye, dear germs,
you’ve had your stay.
But now I scrub you all away,
away
  away
    away
from my hands,
from between my fingers,
and under the nails.

Soap suds like bombs
fall upon you,
knocking you off,
causing you pain,
and banishing you
down
  down
    down
      my
        drain.
        Goodbye!
