Over easy

“Sizzlin’!”
cried the bacon.
“Bubblin’!”
cried the pancakes.
“Let’s get it
over with easy,”
the egg said.
“Because life
is scrambled
enough with
frustrations and
dashed hopes.”
The fork
nodded solemnly
and descended.
